"We owe the SBDC for being in business today."

Ron and Kathy Loder

Started business in March 1995, owner has invested $57,000.00, retained 7 full time employees, certified as small business CA, and been awarded the Elk Grove project for Consumes River Elementary School Remodel in July 2015.

In 1995, Ron and Kathy Loder established Loder Construction after Ron had successfully completed his 19 year career with E.W. Hahn Co building shopping malls throughout California. Being the parents of three young boys, they did not wish to relocate their family to Colorado to continue his career with E.W. Hahn Co. Together, Ron and Kathy are construction professionals and knew the basics of owning and operating a small business; although they quickly determined that there was always more to learn to be prosperous and thriving small business owners. This motivated Kathy to do her research and she was eager to learn from the SBDC, and all of which they offer.

Ron and Kathy quickly took advantage of this opportunity and have continued for the past decade; whenever the time presents itself they are eager to share their exceptional SBDC experiences with fellow small businesses’. Through the years, the SBDC has taught them how to develop a marketing plan; additionally, how to prepare financial statements to their understanding for implementation including the correct way to establish budgets and fully analyze them. The SBDC has helped them update and utilize accounting software and guided them through the business loan process. With all of this insight, Loder Construction was able to prepare for the recession in 2007; and to come out ahead of most small businesses’. They owe the SBDC for being in business today. Ron and Kathy are proud to be associated with the SBDC and are grateful to have served the Sacramento region for the past 20 years. Together, they look forward to their future endeavors.
