Capital Region SBDCSacramento SBDC

Without help from the SBDC we would have struggled much more to get where we are today. The support that they provide is diverse and unwavering, and we cannot thank them enough for the help they have provided.

Taking the first step toward becoming a sound business can be one of the most mentally hindering obstacles for an entrepreneur. Before coming to the SBDC, we had a good business model but we didn’t have a solid business plan. We came across the SBDC online and jumped on the opportunity to receive free business mentoring. We had a dedicated representative who worked within our schedules to make each meeting convenient for us, even if it meant meeting on a Saturday morning. She answered all of our questions and helped us create a workable business plan unique to our budget and goals.

In May of 2017 we made some big changes – invested $10,000 into the business and fired two full time employees. Today, Conejo Bros. Media is a registered LLC, and we’re equipped to shoot almost any type of video, our client list is growing, and we’ve launched the Yuba-Sutter NOW Online Public Broadcast Network. We’ve begun shooting commercials and released several episodes of our thought-provoking web series THE QUESTIONS. We also have more web series in pre-production – including a restaurant show that will highlight California cuisine – and are even scripting a feature-length film, set in our own community of Yuba-Sutter.
