2018 was a year of significant change. The California Supreme Court made a landmark decision detailing key requirement for determining whether an individual is an employee or contractor.  The new 3-factor test significantly changes how small businesses can engage contractors.  Join SBDC human resources expert Chana Anderson to learn about the new test, how to navigate the requirements and ensure your business success.

Her 20-year HR career spans a multitude of industries including banking, tourism, healthcare and non-profits. She helps businesses to create staffing plans to meet business needs, recruit, hire and on-board employees. develop HR processes, and navigate employment laws.

Chana holds multiple certifications in the specialties of Executive Coaching, Human Resources, and Compensation (ACC, CCP, PHRca, SPHR and SHRM-SCP).  She holds a Certificate in Human Resource Management from University California San Diego, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Design and a Master’s degree in Leadership.
